What attracted you to this piece of interactive art in the first place?
- Although this artwork looks simple, it is unique. The artist decided to use boxes of fan as his main character as this is a special idea that not everyone can think of. Furthermore, the artist allowed his artwork to function as an actual fan and allowing the user to control the speed and the direction of the fan.
How did you feel when you first saw this interactive art?
- My first impression of this artwork is "wow" as I wonder how can this artist has such a creative idea. For me, this artwork can be seen as a piece of art and also function as cooling system too. Furthermore, the artist can let the user control the speed fan and the direction of the fan. Besides that, I feel this interactive art have almost the same concept as the wooden mirror artwork.
What elements made this interactive art successful in engaging you?
- How the fan can be change of its direction controlled by the user..
- How the user control the speed of the fan.
- How the artist plan, directed, and script it to make this artwork successfully done.
What was the "wow" factor for you?
- I can't imagine that we can use fan boxes as an artwork, this is a very creative idea. Beside that, the artist has allow the user to be able to control the speed and direction of the fan so that the user can use it as a cooler and as an artwork. This will make the artwork looks prefect.
If there is one thins that you want to add to this interactive artwork, what would it be?
- To me, this artwork looks dull and boring but it have an interesting movement. So I would like to add some interesting lighting on it to makes it looks more colorful while the user are still able to control it. Besides that, the artwork able to create some sentimental sound to make the user feel calmer while seeing those colourful artwork while blowing some cool air.
In the nutshell, I feel this artwork is about self expression and the artist's well planning of executing his idea to complete his artwork successfully.
